Associate, Investment Management
As a member of Luminate’s Investment Management team, Aminata evaluates new investment opportunities across our impact areas and geographies, while providing guidance on the structuring of grants and equity transactions. She is also responsible for managing the investment portfolio performance and valuations.
Aminata brings eight years of financial and investment expertise both in Europe and in emerging markets to her role at Luminate. Prior to joining the organisation, she was a Vice President at BMCE Bank International Plc. where she originated, structured, and executed debt transactions in sub-Saharan Africa, in sectors as varied as Sovereigns, Financial Institutions, Infrastructure & Energy and Corporates. She previously was an Investment Officer at Proparco, the French Development Financial Institution focused on private sector. Based in Johannesburg, she was in charge of business development and deals execution in southern Africa and monitored the firm’s investment portfolio.
Following business school, Aminata joined EY where she was a Senior Consultant in Transaction Services. As part of her role, she performed valuations of equity investments and intellectual property for acquisitions, divestments, and reporting purposes.
Aminata began her career as a Syndicated Loans Analyst at Société Générale CIB in Paris.
