The Vladimir Herzog Institute (IVH) is a civil society organisation created in June 2009 to celebrate the life and legacy of Herzog , a journalist murdered by the military dictatorship that dominated Brazil between 1964 and 1985. With twelve years of existence, the institution's mission is to work with all of society to defend the values ​​of Democracy, Human Rights and Freedom of Expression. Our actions are organised on three major fronts: Human Rights Education; Journalism and Freedom of Expression; Memory, Truth and Justice.
