Dorcas manages the learning and impact processes and projects at Luminate.

Before joining Luminate, Dorcas was a research officer at Publish What You Fund. She led research on international funding for women’s financial inclusion and empowerment collectives. Using innovative research methodologies, she assessed the transparency of funding and the public reporting of the funding’s impact.

Prior to this, Dorcas was a learning designer at Arifu where she developed learning content on economic and psychological empowerment during Covid and evaluated learners’ user journeys. She has also been a research analyst at Busara Center for Behavioral Economics, where she employed various behavioural science techniques to design interventions around financial inclusion, agriculture market systems, data privacy, and institutional evaluation.

Dorcas previously worked on a civic engagement program, localising the Sustainable Development Goals and sensitising local communities on the use of data by citizens during public participation. She has also held consultancy roles in other kinds of research, evaluation, and impact measurement.
