In her role as Regional Communication Manager, Audrey develops and executes Luminate’s external strategic communications activities for Africa. 

As a writer, multimedia producer, and podcaster, Audrey builds platforms for African voices in global narratives. She produced Luminate’s Talk To Me Direct podcast, which platforms African voices on the role of technology in the civic space regionally.

Audrey has a background in feminist activism, journalism, and strategic communications, with published commentary on gender, politics, and socioeconomic issues in Africa and the Middle East. Prior to joining Luminate, Audrey was Media Manager at Human Rights Watch where she built the organisation’s profile in Africa. She has worked and consulted extensively with international development organisations such as UNDP, Urgent Action Fund-Africa, FAO, BBC Media Action, Refunite, CARE, ADRA, Aga Khan Foundation, and more on gender, health, humanitarian and climate communications across Africa.
