Chief of Staff
As Chief of Staff, Barb partners with Luminate’s CEO and Leadership Team, leads internal communications, and serves as a liaison to the Board.
Previously, she was Luminate’s Director of Internal Communications. Before that, she was responsible for the organisation’s website, social media, and brand. Barb also worked at Omidyar Network, managing marketing and communications projects for the philanthropic investment firm.
While at the Smithsonian Institution, she worked closely with leadership and donors, supporting executive operations as Assistant to the Secretary and coordinating donor engagement and high-profile events for the Smithsonian National Board. She began her career at Orr Associates, Inc. (now Orr Group), advising non-profits on fundraising, events, and board management.
